Business Quality Policy
A.C.H. Clifford Pty. Ltd. Business Management System (BMS) encompasses a disciplined and detailed system of strategic planning, budgeting, reviewing, client feedback, and reporting on the quality of the contracts we undertake.
This BMS reinforces ACH Clifford Pty. Ltd. (hereafter referred to as ACH), ongoing commitment to excellence, best practice performance and will comply with the requirements of the AS/NZS ISO 9001.
ACH is committed to the development, deployment, implementation and continuous improvement of our business (quality) management system so that it will improve our efficiency and effectiveness, and ensure that all our services provided by us satisfy the requirements of our clients.
The core elements of ACH’s BMS are as follows:
- Establishing and maintaining a comprehensive and concise contract review process, in partnership with our client, to ensure that our client’s requirements are fully understood.
- Ensuring at the commencement of the contract, that all personnel are clearly briefed and are provided with the appropriate resources and training to deliver our client’s requirements at all times, thus maintaining our NSW Government Best Practice Accreditation.
- ACH will at each workplace, establish appropriate internal key performance indicators as well as identifying specific performance input nominated by our clients, to ensure those objectives are being met during project execution.
- Our policy is to continually monitor our Business Management System in order to maintain its integrity and to ensure it meets with the evolution of our company, client and industry requirements.
- Providing our clients appropriate progress reports, in accordance with the project specifications and conditions of contracts.
- As a minimum standard we are committed to maintaining a Certified Business Business (Quality) Management System to the International Standard ISO 9001.
- We will also observe and meet all statutory and regulatory requirements in our day-to-day operations including the OH&S Act 2000 and Environmental Protection Act etc.
- We are committed to maintaining our DoC Best Practice Contractor accreditation.
- We will always strive to achieve our Key Business Objectives (i.e. KPI’s)

Our policy addresses this objective in four ways, we will:
- Establish procedures and provide training support as part of our planning for safe activities and operations. This will be done involving our staff, service providers and other stakeholders as appropriate.
- Provide adequate financial, human & technical resources including access to external expertise to support these policies and set objectives and targets to comply with all legal obligations as well as Codes of Practice, AS/NZ Standards & general industry standards and guidelines.
- Involve all levels of our organisation in appropriate monitoring, and reviewing our policies and procedures through consultation
- Implement continuous improvement over time.
Our target is to reduce and minimise the frequency and severity of work-related incidents by identifying and acting to systematically reduce or eliminate risks
This OHSMS or relevant sections shall be documented and kept current and it shall be communicated and made available to interested parties and stakeholders.

ACH Clifford Pty Ltd sets objectives and targets and performance measures and we commit all levels of our Company from the Director to the construction worker to involvement in the development, implementation and management of this System which is committed to the prevention of environmental pollution.
Our aim is to continually improve our environmental performance whilst complying with all applicable legislation so as to effectively prevent pollution that may result from the impact of our activities.
Our company’s activities and services principally involve:
- Demolition and excavation
- Building and Construction
- Refurbishment and renovation/renewal
These activities can lead to pollution and degradation of the environment and so as Managing Director I accept the obligation to identify the aspects and impacts and to set targets to eliminate or minimize harm. These objectives and targets shall be reviewed as part of an annual review of this system.
This EMS forms part of our over all management system that provides the organisation structure, planning activities, responsibilities, practices, procedures, processes and resources for developing, implementing, achieving and maintaining this policy. The EMS is thus the framework for setting and achieving ACH Clifford’s objectives and targets.
As Managing Director and in support of our Company’s policy, I therefore commit and pledge to provide the necessary technical, technological, human, financial and material resources necessary to the achievement of our objectives and targets.
A fundamental requirement for this commitment is ensuring that all levels of the organisation are familiar with and remain familiar with our objective and how our System operates.
In addition I commit the Company to processes such as documented inspections, and audits to measure performance, and commit to a formal l system review at least annually so as to re-examine the Company’s policy and objectives to ensure their relevance and to maintain our accreditation and certification to government and AS/NZS and ISO Standards.
